Solitude’s Summer Season Begins
Escape the summer heat, grab your friends, family and head to Solitude. Open Wednesday – Sunday with lift served hiking, mountain biking, mountain scooters, disc (Frisbee) golf, weekend brunches and wonderful open-air patio dining @ our Creekside Restaurant. New this summer will be dining experiences at the Yurt. Weather permitting.

Chris Allaire Memorial Mountain Bike Race
This is the Utah State Championship race. Often referred to as having some of the best forest single-track descents in the state, the course is always a challenging one. Come participate, or watch and riders make their way around the mountain.

2nd Annual Full Throttle Midweek Mountain Bike Series.
Solitude will host our Second Annual Tuesday evenings bike series throughout the 2008 summer. Seven Tuesdays ina row beginning June 24. Registration will be at 5:45 PM the day of the race. Race mass start at 6:30 PM. $12/race. Moonbeam Lot - Entry 1.
The Series comes together thanks to Full Throttle Energy Drink, Peak Fasteners, Revolution Bike Shop and Cannondale Bicycles.
This seven event series will offer competition to all fields of ability levels. Beginners will complete one loop on a scenic, yet challenging 4 mile singletrack course. Intermediate and expert riders will tackle this course two and three times, respectively. A short children’s race will precede the race each night, making this a great event for families.
Guaranteed $2000 cash purse for top three Men and Women Pro/Expert and Sport class finishers; plus nightly prize raffles. This years purse has doubled last years total already, with the potential to grow even larger depending on participation.

Wasatch Wildflower Festival
The Wildflower Festival kicks off Friday afternoon at Solitude. Come on up between 3:30 and 5:30 for a guided walk with a local naturalist that will point out many of the local flowers and plants. There are options for hikers of all abilities. After you've worked up an appetite on the hill, stop by Creekside Restaurant for dinner.

Taste of the Nation
Local Chefs featured at Solitude: Join Utah’s most exciting chefs by the creek here at Solitude for an afternoon of spectacular food and drink. Event highlights include cooking exhibitions, live music and a wonderful silent auction. All ticket proceeds benefit anti-hunger and poverty programs, namely Utahns Against Hunger and the Utah Food Bank. Solitude is excited to offer the wildly fun, and easy to ride Scooters. These wheeled rides are a cross between razor street scooters and mountain bikes. Access the trials of Solitude via our Sunrise lift or simply kick around the village on them.

Challenge yourself to 18 holes on our unique mountainside course. Even those that have never tossed a Frisbee find this activity extremely enjoyable, as you wind down through the beautiful forests of Solitude Mountain Resort.

- Silver Lake Nature Center Wildflower Walks
The perfect way to spend an evening after work! The Wasatch Mountains are known for their stunning array of wildflowers, so take this opportunity to learn about them with us on walks led by local naturalists! Select Wednesdays during the summer.
