Solitude’s WinterFest Week:
Guests staying in the Village at Solitude are sure to be entertained throughout this festive time of the year. Expect avalanche dog demonstrations, alp horn players, a pizza party coupled with performances and activities with evening performances and more.

Avalanche Awareness Clinic
Join members of Solitude's Professional Ski Patrol and Snow Safety team to learn how to travel responsibly and safely outside the resort boundaries. This two-day course is a great introduction to the identification of avalanche hazard and the skills to safely travel in the backcountry. We will focus on identifying avalanche terrain, analyzing snow and weather factors, managing group dynamics, and avalanche rescue skills. The morning of day one the guides will give a presentation on avalanches, and the rest of day one and two will be spent in the backcountry putting these concepts into action. http://skisolitude.com/backtracks

Santa Visits Solitude Mountain Resort:
"The Grinch" visited a few years ago during the filming of the movie starring Jim Carrey. Now Santa makes certain that Solitude is a regular stop on this big day.

Kids Glow Parade:
Children of all ages want to take part in this special parade of lights! Kids meet at the Last Chance Mining Camp at 4:30 pm (with parent), ready to ski. Then, hop on board a cat for a sweet trip to the top of Main Street before skiing down all decked out in glow bracelets and necklaces. Parade kicks off at dusk (around 5pm).

Steep Ski Camp
This two-day camp will take advantage of the Wasatch's world renowned steep terrain. We will focus on developing techniques and concepts for skiing the steeps. After day one learning these skills and progressing into the backcountry, day two utilizes the famed chutes of Wolverine Cirque and Solitude's Fantasy Ridge. This camp will be more strenuous than our standard tour. Kids’ Mini Downhill:
All eyes are on the Solitude Race Course as children ages 4 to 14 compete in this annual classic with a chance to win great prizes from Creamies and Skullcandy. Pre-register through Solitude's Snowsports Academy, or day of the race at the Moonbeam Lodge (Snow Level), 9-10am. THE RACE IS FREE! Racing starts at 11 am, with free hot dogs afterwards for children (One per child - at Last Chance Mining Camp)!

Jimmie Heuga's Vertical Express for MS:
A unique day of family fun time at Solitude Mountain Resort. The event raises funds for The Heuga Center, which supports research and wellness programs for people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Teams of 3 tackle the mountain in a scavenger hunt, then race gates at the Solitude Race Course. Great fun for a great cause! Learn more about this event and how to enter a team at www.heuga.org.

Easter Sunday:
Peter Cottontail skis down the bunny trail (at 9:15 a.m.) to see all his little friends at the annual Children's Easter Egg Hunt slope-side at the Moonbeam base area. Hunt begins at 9:30am.

    Grab a buddy and test each other's time on Solitude's Race Course for just $3 a run. Located on Main Street, easily accessed from the Moonbeam, Apex or Eagle Express Lifts. Open Friday-Sunday.
  • Tour with a Ranger Program
    Learn about the history, winter ecology and public lands of Solitude. Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. FREE, all on green runs. Meet at 1:30 P.M., top of Moonbeam Lift.
