Children's Snowsports Academy

The heart of the Snowsports Academy is the Moonbeam Kids’ Program. Offering you peace of mind and your kids a fun and exciting learning experience, the Moonbeam Ski and Snowboard Academy is not a traditional children’s program. Combined with fun, games and small group sizes the academy’s instructors will help your children improve their technique and develop more confidence on the snow.

Single Day Lessons

All day lessons are 10AM-3:15PM. Half day lessons start at 1PM.

Please have rental equipment, gear and lesson ticket purchased before the 9:45AM and 12:45PM class start times.

Play Academy

Children 5 years and younger will be treated to coloring, storytelling, snowplay, cartoons and lunch ($5 extra for hourly guests), while parents are free to explore Solitude’s 1,200 acres of groomers, powder and steeps. A secure room in the newly renovated SnowSports Academy building is devoted to this special service. Parents are required to carry a personal cell-phone while their children are in the Academy’s care. 24 hour advance notice is recommended.

Children’s Play N Ski

(9:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Children will receive semi private ski lessons during the day. Children need to provide equipment and clothing. For children 2 to 5 years.

*Parents will be charged a late fee if children are not picked up on time
