Up here, we can guide you to
Utah's incredible backcountry

Back Tracks offers backcountry guided tours for groups of 1 to 10 skiers or snowboarders. Our guides, which are members of Solitude Mountain Resort's Professional Ski Patrol, accompany the group into areas just outside of the resort boundaries for an all-day excursion. We have multiple options once we get outside of the ropes and we'll make this a day not soon to be forgotten. With well over 500" of annual snowfall and so much terrain, chances of finding a few untracked stashes are strong!

Tours include a lift ticket and each guest is provided an avalanche transceiver, backpack, free heel adapters (or snowshoes), climbing skins, and snacks. Also included in the day - a phenomenal lunch from Creekside Restaurant, and believe us, you'll be ready for a big lunch after the first half of your day.

Guests should at least be strong intermediate skiers or snowboarders and in good physical condition. Guides will assess ability by way of a ski check in order to ensure guests' enjoyment of the tour. Variable skiing conditions may include deep powder, wind drifts, variable crusts, and slick surfaces on any given tour. In backcountry terrain, unmarked obstacles do exist; we do take every precaution to avoid these. Tours are affected by avalanche hazard and weather conditions.

For Booking Information please call 801-536-5705 or email backtracks@skisolitude.com. We will do our best to return your call or email with 24 hours.

If you only knew... Solitude Mountain Resort is a Utah ski resort located only forty minutes from Salt Lake International Airport. Known for its 500" of annual Utah snow and non-existent lift lines, this Utah ski resort is ranked nationally by Ski Magazine for weather, value, snow quality and accessibility.

When you Ski Utah, bring your family and friends for a first-class ski vacation at Solitude. Far from the crowds at other Utah resorts, you'll find yourself skiing or riding on "the greatest snow on earth," staying slopeside in our European Village and dining at one of our restaurants.
